Who Stole My Year?
Oct 31, 2016
It's nearly November, so only 2 months left of the calendar year. I've had a great year overall, but like anyone it's had its ups and downs. A really good team member left and we've had a hard job replacing her. Luckily she's been working for us remotely so that's helped to tide us over.
We’ve taken on several really lovely new clients and that helps me to know we’re heading in the right direction.
I’m just starting another mentoring group and that’s always really exciting. Our plan is to help them make a huge difference to their business within the first 3-4 months. We still have a space if you would love to get more from your business and work less hours.
We’ve also been shortlisted in 3 awards, which is bittersweet – it’s lovely to be in the top 3 but we haven’t won the top slot this year. It’s just motivating me and the team to do even better next year!
I’ve started to take Fridays off too, so taking less holidays to balance this out. It means I have to squeeze as much work as possible into the time I have, which is a challenge. I think I’m pretty good with my time so I’m pushing myself to get even better. Any techniques I learn I’ll share with you in a couple of months.
Personally, I’ve had a first too – I’m now a granny! Emmeline is 4 months old and cute as a button. I love being a granny so much, who’d have known? Having Fridays off means I have the time to spend with her in the future and I’m really looking forward to it!
I’ve also started doing a lot more yoga this year and really enjoying getting up early every morning to stretch. Gerry has even started to do this too, miracles will never cease!!
It’s felt like a really fast year, don’t know why. Is it just me that feels like this? Would love to hear what your year has been like so far. It’s lovely to be able to celebrate what’s gone well as well as commiserate on what hasn’t! I would also love to hear what you're planning on doing differently.
